This is what happens when one Little Corella bites off more than it can chew of another Little Corella. We are seeing these birds in all sorts of places around the state now. They appear to have arrived in Melbourne as a consequence of drought. It also appears they like it so much they intend staying! Flocks can be huge and the squawking and screeching can be quite penetrating. Nonetheless, they are quite amusing to watch.
