I think their music will always be with us. It might not be new to us, but it never ages. It will always be new to the generations who did not live with them as a group. I have already enjoyed so much of the irreimagining.

Their music is timeless in all the ways you enumerate: funny, I was listening to “Twist and Shout” earlier, and John Lennon’s primal scream in the middle of it reminded me what a moment in musical history that was.
